Yesterday after getting home from my parents’ place, Middle Daughter and I cut a path through the rhododendron lining the bank of Jacob’s Creek beside our house. After a few minutes of work, we had a little trail down the steep descent to a quiet bit of stream.
And then we moved rocks. Probably tons of them. Seriously.
It has been a long time since I’ve played in a creek. We made dams and channels; wading pools and rapids; and even some towers at the end. We spent at least two hours – just for the fun of it. Eventually, Ordinary Spouse and Oldest Daughter joined in the fun, too.
I could probably sit there all day, listening and watching…
