We’re almost ready to leave! Tomorrow morning (that’s the “16 hours”), we’ll be loading up our ride to O’Hare, and by this time tomorrow afternoon we’ll probably be flying somewhere over Canada.

The packing is nearly done; the house is clean; the 24-day course of malarial medicine has been started; caretakers are lined up for Jack and Lexi; and the refrigerator has been cleaned of leftovers.

I have a new memory card for my camera so that I can take lots of pictures. This is one of those trips that I want to be sure to remember – not just for myself, but for my daughters, as well. Alas – you’ll have to wait for a while to see them.

That’s it for now! I’ll blog at you again in a couple of weeks!
