Oldest Daughter

Snowflakes fly like swans.

That looks like pond-life pickles.*

Middle Daughter

Our maple looks like a crown on our house.

Youngest Daughter

The red parts taste like hearts, and the orange part tastes like the sun.**

Eating this red delicious apple makes me feel like a Sugar Plum Fairy.

And Youngest Daughter wrote this poem:

I like the bright sun
I just love the tulips

* This was a comment on the appearance of the homemade pickles in our refrigerator.

** She was eating a blood orange.
