Sixty-four years ago at 8:16 a.m. local time, the United States carried out the world’s first nuclear attack with the detonation of a bomb over Hiroshima. Three days later, a second bomb was detonated over Nagasaki. During those two days, over 100,000 people died. Another 100,000 would die later from injuries or other effects of the bombs.
Don’t let this horror repeat itself.
